*You need a keyboard for this fix to work.
*This solution will not erase the game files on your Steam Deck
1) Close the Steam Deck fully by pressing the power button
2) Open the Steam Deck by pressing the tree button under the right touchpad and the power button simultaneously.
3) Use the down arrow key and select the third option, " Current + OS Boot Menu " then press Enter
4) Highlight the first option, " Steam OS " then press E button on your keyboard
5) Use the down arrow key until you reach the steamenv_boot line and press " End " key on your keyboard
6) Use one " Space " and write init=bin/bash
7) On your keyboard press " Ctrl + x " simultaneously. The screen now opens as a terminal
8) On terminal type " mount -n -o rw,remount / " and hit Enter on your keyboard
9) A new line will appear. Write " fsck " and hit enter again
10) It will ask you " y/n " questions. Press " y "button on your keyboard to answer all the questions; it will take approximately 10 minutes.
11) After all the questions have ended, a new line will appear. You can press " Ctrl + d " on your keyboard
12) If the system did not reboot, you can shut system down by pressing the power button
13) After reboot you need to choose the first option, " Current OS " and then system will check the files again. All the prompts should be green " [ OK ] " now.
14) You have successfully solved the issue without a factory reset
15) Enjoy your games!
